Ho-Ho-Ho,
We made it through the Santa Cruz Holiday parade with nary a drop of rain during the walk, but there was a deluge right before the start of the parade! The sun was shining as we walked Pacific Avenue.
We carried the banner proudly while many parade attendees were wondering where the cars were! Well, like a piano, we kept them garaged and instead wore rain boots and holiday hats to celebrate the beginning of the festive season. We did enjoy a nice walk and joined in with marching bands in the front and back. Jim Vickery lead the crew. Dave Welles and Don Iglesias carried the banner and even the Grinch joined in for the fun!
Afterwards we headed to the Hilton’s for an outstanding brunch and Bloody Mary’s. The Welles brought the election ballots and menu selection for the January 19th Installation Dinner. The rest of us (about 20 or so) stuffed the ballots and ate our way through the brunch.
Mark your calendars to join us at the annual Installation Dinner on January 19th where our 25th anniversary will kick off.
Ho-ho-ho and happy trails to all over the holidays!
Cathy
