One of the long standing traditions of Santa Cruz Woodies is to celebrate the holidays by participating in the Downtown Santa Cruz Holiday Parade. Some years it is sunny, some years it rains and some years it is just plain COLD. This year it was all three! But that didn’t deter eight Woodies and their proud owners (plus some SCW members who left their woodies at home but braved the cold themselves) from celebrating the season. Everybody showed off their best Santa waves as they rolled down Pacific Avenue. Along the way announcers encouraged the crowd to make sure and come to the upcoming 20th Anniversary of Woodies On the Wharf on June 21st, 2014 and join us in celebrating the 100 year anniversary of the Santa Cruz Wharf.
Following the parade, everyone traveled over to the third annual holiday open house at the Hilton’s beautiful home overlooking the Santa Cruz Boardwalk. In addition to those present for the parade, we were joined by more members making this a fantastic party. As is always the case when the Santa Cruz Woodies Ohana gets together, a good time was had by all while sharing lots of great food and holiday cheer! Thank you Alan & Jule for again welcoming us into your home for the Holidays.
